Fix crash in model view ("tech view")

m.puchner requested to merge issue_141 into develop

This crash is only occurring in the "tech view", which is partially outdated already and has to be removed before the release. Nevertheless this view is still kept to help understand the SessionItem/-Model structure.

The fix is easy, therefore I implement it to keep tech view usable

This fixes #141 (closed)
