mask(ing) command A & B
A: a masking command (setting pixel status explicitly to NOT OK) could be useful. One must be able to specify the runs/tau values etc. to which it should be applied (typically just prior to the collection step). Further one must be able to specify the mask by:
- a filename containing the mask
- limits for ampli, err, ave, bgr-amp, u-d, polarisation ....
- simple geometrical shapes (disc, ring, ...) with shape params i.e center, width, aspect, (rotation) ....
B: a raw data mask to be applied upon reading (specifcation analogous to A)
C: raw masking prior to pixelisation at full detector resolution.
The not_ok status explanation will then be M for mask.
