New file reader for Steca (Xray data)
Stress-Sprec requested to implement a new feature to read linear caress data from physics lab. They want to use the read data to display and later fit with functions (see issue #45)
6th of June: Update issue description after more information have been revealed
27th of June: Now it's pretty clear that these files will come as Nexus file and not caress and will follow whatever format Salsa will use. Also in the beginning it would be nice, if Steca would also offer the option to load these files as caress format
28th: Discussing further details of what meta data should be additional available for Stress-Spec
During August: Several test measurements have taken place in XRay lab and data files have been sent to test with new data loader. Until 24th of August all seem to work just fine. Then some file started to show Zero points in Dfgram and Steca was slowed down massively from these files.
During Sep/Oct: After long searching I found the source of these problems from latest files. I still need to investigate if it makes an impact on data quality of the results
We need to recheck the source code whether all important data is loaded from the data files and not hard coded. Steca source is no easy to trace through in this regard
Update Dec: Now many problems have been solved in the new detector, NICOS and also Steca. And the created diffractogram looks convincing to StressSpec people. After Christmas there will be some more measurements, and then most likely an MR for this feature
