Release Steca v2.2.5

Thoughts for preparing Steca Release v2.2.5

Since the last update is quite some time ago and many things have changed, we will increase the version from 2.2.3 to 2.2.5. Sadly neither the adaption for Nexus file loader has been finished nor the absorption since for both I'm still waiting for input from Salsa instrument. I've tried to add as many wishes from StressSpec to Steca as possible to encourage them to use the new Steca Version

Almost completed:

  • Reworked/Adapted: Online Documentation, Issue #67 (closed)
  • Fixed: Breaking of pole figure plot by user input, Issue #71 (closed)
  • Correct Steca version display (v2.3 labels itself as v2.2), #64 (closed)

Already completed:

  • Explanation: for usage of *.pol file export for Doc and users (it is not broken)
  • Added: automatically tests for source code format when committing to the server
  • Added: Nexus file loader (not yet adapted for Salsa)
  • Prepared: Implementation for data fit function in Diagram
  • Fixed: Windows deployment issues regarding Hdf5 and Qt6
  • Added: New *.tifflog data loader for StressSpec
  • Added: New native zooming function for Diffractogram and Diagram
  • Reworked: GUI and workflow for adding regions to peakfits and baselines
  • Removed: menu item which displayed messagebox with documentation from Diffractogram menu
  • Added: New -f command line argument to restore default Steca settings
  • Added: A GUI button to toggle selection flags of input files
  • Fixed: Several Steca crashes when loading/working with data files
  • Added: Qt remembers last working directory for sessions and data files separately
  • Fixed: display error in the bigtable view
  • Removed: non working menu item (Help->Check for updates)
  • Fixed: Non working menu item to open online docs in browser
  • Added: Menu item to open browser with Steca Releases
