Windows: let user see error message when ASSERT fails

I don't know... what is this issue about? The original was "Windows: restore error message when ASSERT fails" - was there a special spot, or is it meant in general?

Or is it sth. like "Because on Windows you have no terminal/cmd window open when starting BornAgain, the ASSERT error gets lost?"

I don't know more than what I saw in the Redmine issue summary, and perhaps I recast it incorrectly. Could you please try out what happens if BornAgain under Windows hits ASSERT(0)?
