+Getting started with coding in SimRoot
+
+1. Install ubuntu 
+2. In ubuntu install build-essential and gfortran package to get the compilers
+3. Install eclipse-cdt using the eclipse installer from the website
+4. In eclipse install photran (in standard repository) 
+and git (in marketplace, might be already installed)
+and xml editor
+5. In git clone the project
+
+note: u16 has gnome3 and eclipse Mars needs this fix: http://askubuntu.com/questions/761604/eclipse-not-working-in-16-04
