Core/GUI: review which metadata to survive interpolation
An interpolated data point represents a weighted average over several raw data files. Some of the metadata associated with these input files ought to be averaged as well. For some others (like date of measurement) this cannot be done in meaningful ways; they should be completely removed from interpolated data sets.
