Divergent amplitude in scattering towards alpha_f<0

Scattering towards alpha_f \lesssim 0 yields huge amplitudes that diverge with particle depth. Something is fundamentally wrong with scattering into "transmission" direction.

Reproduce problem under current 'develop' with this script ref2.py.
