Features: Progress Bar

The current template includes a progress bar, which currently is disabled per default (but it can be enabled easily via a \setbeamertemplate{progressbar}[visible]).

This thread collects wishes and ideas for extended the feature set of the progress bar. Some are already implemented, while others are waiting for volunteers. Check the status in the following list.
